What’s an outfit without the perfect hair accessory?

The Kids Style File with Lindsay is back looking at the gorgeousness of the perfect hair accessory for girls! I’ve been obsessed with hair accessories since I was a young girl. I had this chopped bob for as long as I can remember and the one thing I could do to make it pretty was add a pretty ribbon or bow.

When I became a big sister I was blessed with a bald-headed beautiful little girl for which ribbons and bows would definitely not work. This is how I was introduced to the world of the perfect hair accessory, from headbands and bandanas.

Between the two of us we had every colour, item and size clip, grip, Alice band, headband slide, banana you can imagine. The difference between us though was that I preferred dresses with delicate ribbons and Robz rocked shorts (with socks and sandals) and big funky headbands.

Till this day I would opt for the slightly more understated hair accessory. All girls are different and the “wide” variety we had catered for us all.

So imagine my surprise, as a Mom of boys to suddenly enter this wonderful world of hair accessories when I became an Aunt to Bella. How things have changed and I absolutely LOVE it, from artisan kiddie’s headbands to luxe head wraps and whimsical hand crafted crowns.

If you’re a Mom to girls, or have a special niece like me and love to shower those around you with beautiful things then take a look at some of our proudly local brands who are owning the hair accessory game.
