Croc City Crocodile & Reptile Park is one of the most exciting places to spend the holidays with thrilling activities, delicious food and of course, the exotic animals, designed to entertain every member of the family.
Located just a ten minute drive away from Fourways, Croc City has been entertaining children and adults since 2006. Inundated with requests to visit from schools, the park has established a name for itself as an educational and adventurously exciting experience, including activities such as holding a baby crocodile, touching exotic snakes and even becoming friendly with a tarantula!
It provides children from all ages the opportunity to have fun and enjoy a hands-on learning experience with the aim being to assist with conservation through education. By letting each child hold various reptiles – which is also tons of fun – they learn an appreciation for nature.
In the lecture area, an informative DVD on crocodiles is shown and afterwards, children are taken on a ‘touch and feel’ session. They get to touch all sorts of weird and wonderful things such as crocodile eggs, skins, skulls and the baby crocodile.
The kids will also be wowed by the informative guided tour of the park where there are small crocodiles on display as well as giant crocodiles that are more than five metres in length!
A group reptile session is also available for the youngsters, where a discussion is held and they each get to hold some fascinating creatures, including a python. Kids can get their own personalised photos doing this too!
Croc City also features the brand new and exciting Croc City FlyOver – the first Nile Crocodile Zip Line. Designed for the brave at heart, the zip line is a brand new adventure where visitors fly five metres above the ground over the crocodiles!
The park also features fantastic facilities for the holidays that can be used for any festive event. This includes the main crocodile park with wood fired pizza restaurant and next door the Croc Beer Boma. The Croc Beer Boma is a setting with a bush feel that offers special days such as Wicked Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, Happy Fridays and Sport Saturdays. The Beer Boma is open from Wednesdays to Sundays and offers a variety of delicious pizzas included Croc City Specials, Vegetarian, Meaty and Spicy.
The park and restaurant are open seven days a week from 09h00 to 16h30, including public holidays but booking is essential over the holidays with everyone wanting to experience their holiday adventure!
Be brave this Christmas and do something daring.
