Transformers Expo a must see

“Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing.” This is one of my favourite quotes from the Transformer movie series. The four movies in the series, all also happen to be my favourites.  I have watched all four of the movies numerous times. When the Transformers Expo was announced last year, I was beyond excited.Transformers Expo

I was lucky enough to attend the media launch of the expo which is being held at the Red Barn at Emperors Palace. A lot of thought has been put into how the expo is laid out. It is not just a collection of models but rather it is a Transformer experience. The expo starts out back in the 80’s when many of us were first introduced to the Transformers as animated characters. Transformers Expo

It then takes you through the movies with absolutely amazing models. All the well known Transformers, like Optimus Prime, Bumble Bee, IronHide, Hound and more are on show. There are models of the weapons used as well as write ups on each character.  Also featured is the history of each character and interesting facts about the series. The models are incredibly real with many of them having movable parts which adds to the entire experience. There is an area where you can watch some of the older animated shows. Transformers Expo

If you have a Transformer fan in the house, then this expo is a must see. It will make for a great outing during the Easter holidays. ExpoRSA have really done an amazing job putting this expo together.

The expo is on at the Red Barn at Emperors Palace until the 28 May 2017 and you can get your tickets here. There is a small tuck shop at the venue where you can get some food and cool drinks.

Cape Town fans can expect the expo to hit their shores later this year. Make sure you follow ExpoRSA to get your tickets then they go on sale.
