Cooking with NOLA and Ndash: Snack Platter Dips 

When you need a quick snack platter – try out a selection of easy-to-prepare dips, which can be pared with fresh veggies, potato wedges or chicken dippers.

NOLA Mayonnaise recently partnered with local foodie Sithembiso Ndashe (Ndash) – founder of Ndash Food Concepts – to  #CreateAStir by adding a new age modern twist to popular Mzansi recipes. The creamy, balanced versatility of NOLA means it can be added to almost any dish without overpowering the existing ingredients – ideally complimenting Ndash’s creative cooking philosophy.

Snack Platter Dips

nola dips

Cheesy Garlic Mayo Dip

Ingredients 

  • Blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup Nola Original Mayonnaise
  • ¼ Cup plain yogurt
  • ¼ Cup buttermilk, shaken well
  • 1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp dry parsley
  • 1 Pinch freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Dash chili oil

Method 

  • Blend ingredients together until smooth
  • Serve this dip with chicken dippers

Avo & Lime Dip

Ingredients 

  • 4 Tbsps.  Nola Original Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tsp Lime Juice
  • 1 Tsp Worcester Sauce
  • Half an Avocado Pear – pureed
  • 1 Tsp cumin
  • 1 Tbs Tabasco Sauce

Method 

  • Blend ingredients together until smooth
  • Serve this dip with pan fried Cajun prawns

Veggie Dip

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsps.  Nola Original Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbs sour cream
  • 1Tbs chives
  • ½ Tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tsp smoked paprika
  • Pinch of salt & pepper

Method 

  • Blend ingredients together until smooth
  • Serve this dip with a platter of sliced carrots, sliced cucumbers , cocktail tomatoes, celery sticks  and broccoli florets
