Play-Doh Stamp ‘n Top Pizza Oven: a review

Pizza? Play-Doh will keep your little chef busy with a brand-new playset.

Play-Doh has been a part of our childhood since its release in 1955. This year, Play-Doh released the Stamp ‘n Top Pizza playset. Even if they’re not something you can actually eat, we all know better than to turn it down when a child proudly hands you a Play-Doh creation.

Grab a Slice!

their own dough and add all sorts of toppings. Plus, the pizzas are tiny and adorable, and everyone loves mini munchies.

Live that Play-Doh pizza life! The Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Stamp ‘n Top Pizza Oven lets your little cook create bite-sized pizzas.*

The set includes the oven playset (some assembly necessary), cheese grater, pizza paddle, plate, roller, pizza cutter, 3 creation cards, and 5 cans of Play-Doh Brand Modeling Compound.

Stamp a pizza crust in the oven, then go wild creating and customising. The cheese grater shreds Play-Doh compound into grated cheese, and the oven playset has plenty of moulds all around it to make pretend pepperonis, silly veggies and lots of other outrageous toppings.

When it’s ready, display it with the pizza paddle or on the pizza stand and slice it up with the cutter. It’s a great play pizza set for kids who love to get creative with squishy materials like modelling clay, and comes with five standard-size 56.5-gram Play-Doh pots. It also comes with instructions and three creation cards that show step-by-step how to make a variety of play food pizza creations.

We don’t know about you, but we could make Play-Doh pizzas all day.

So what did Charly think of the Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Stamp ‘n Top Pizza Oven?

Thanks to the Play-Doh team for this awesome gift from their Hasbro Top Toys list. The Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Pizzeria made Charly light up after a sick day. The set made her smile and giggle, and kept her entertained for about 3 hours. I’m actually considering getting one of these sets for all the littles in my life for Christmas.

Not only did it keep her busy for hours, it was also incredibly simple to put together and easy to use for little hands! Charly built the system by herself, from the easy to follow picture instructions. She was so proud she could do it without help (or interference as she calls it). The combined colours and ingredients can be used to make pizzas, pastas, breakfast, and desserts.

One of the best part (for me) was that unlike many other sets we’ve had, Charly could easily remove any extra Play -Doh from the gadgets used to make the cheese, pasta and various ingredients.

Charly has played with it every day and I love how it stirs up her imagination. Spaghetti and meatballs anybody?

There’s No Better Gift

Besides being hours of fun, the playset won’t cost you an arm and a leg. The set is priced at R400 – R450 from Takealot, Toy Kingdom, ToysRUs and ToyZone. Play-Doh is meant for kids 3 and up, but when the kids aren’t looking, you can get your pizza party on. We don’t blame you, we’re tempted to buy this for ourselves!

Now that’s amore! Hasbro, Play-Doh and all related properties are trademarks of Hasbro.
